Released in April the new version of xnPOS contains some exciting new developments.
Of particular note is a new look and feel for the xnPOS cloud portal together with enhancements to speed up the creation and maintenance of menu items.
Other new features include significant improvements to our graphic table plan functionality to include drag and drop allowing for much easier and quicker set up and on the fly changes to the restaurant layout.
The risk of guests becoming seriously ill as a result of allergy to certain food types is now a major issue for all F&B operations.
xnPOS can now help manage this risk.
The server can now be prompted to record Allergens at the beginning of order with the details being communicated to the kitchen via the KOT and / or a visual warning the Kitchen Display System.
To further manage the risk of allergens menu Items can also be filtered on both Workstation and Android to prevent servers taking orders for dishes containing ingredients which the guest has informed them that they are allergic to.
We are continually adding new interfaces to enhance the power and flexibility of your xnPOS system. A couple of recent additions are to leading F&B profit maximization systems: Craftable and Avero.
The integration between xnPOS and Craftable will enable hoteliers to leverage their POS data to take control of their food & beverage costs, enhance procurement capabilities and streamline business operations, thereby increasing profitability.
Phil Probert, Vice President of Growth for Craftable, commented

Increase your retail revenue and customer service with the xnPOS Kiosk. Guests are more likely to make a purchase through a self-service system where they can quickly and efficiently serve themselves without queuing at the front desk. International guests can also access the kiosk in their own language. Promotions and suggested upselling configured within xnPOS all contribute to an increased average spend. Guests self-scan and self-checkout to room charge, credit card or even pay cash at the desk if they have no credit.
Need to sell restricted items such as alcohol from behind the front desk? No problem! The xnPOS Mobile tablet with bar code scanner is a cost-effective solution with a small footprint that can either be used in conjunction with the kiosk or as a low-cost retail solution in it’s own right.
xnPOS Kiosk and xnPOS Mobile can operate independently for retail or as a fully integrated retail solution hosted on the same xnPOS database as your F&B operation. That means the same shared single, web portal for data management and reporting for both your retail and Food and Beverage Operations.
